Hamilton announced a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 version of its Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm in mid-September. The reference H69469930 is modeled on the watch worn by Captain Price in the game, and it costs $795.

## What changes

The case keeps the familiar 38mm diameter and 9.5mm thickness, but the steel is sandblasted and coated in black PVD. The black dial has a heavy grain to it. The most obvious nod to the game is the numeral 4, printed in Modern Warfare 4's typeface. Yellow marks a triangle at 12 o'clock and the tip of the seconds hand. Super-LumiNova handles low-light reading.

The solid caseback is also black PVD and is engraved with a soundwave motif. A khaki green textile strap completes the look. The crystal is sapphire and water resistance is 50m.

## What stays the same

The movement is the H-50, the same hand-wound caliber that [Hamilton](https://wristmetric.com/brands/hamilton) uses in the standard Khaki Field Mechanical, with an 80-hour power reserve. We covered that watch, and what the H-50 offers at its price, in our [Khaki Field Mechanical 38 review](https://wristmetric.com/reviews/hamilton-khaki-field-mechanical-38-review).

## Is the premium worth it

The standard black-dial Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm (H69439931) costs $675 on a textile strap, so this version asks $120 more. For that, buyers get the PVD case, the grained dial, the engraved caseback and the game-specific details. The dimensions, movement, crystal and water rating do not change.

Whether that is good value depends almost entirely on how much the Call of Duty connection means to the buyer. For fans of the game, a working, wearable version of a character's watch on a proven [mechanical movement](https://wristmetric.com/mechanical/) is a reasonable proposition at under $800. For everyone else, the standard model delivers the same mechanics, the same 38mm proportions and the same 80 hours of reserve for less money.
